Terms of Service

Effective August 28, 2026; section 8 updated September 22, 2026; sections 4, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13 and 16 updated September 28, 2026, and sections 4 and 5 again the same day for the Android app; section 4 updated October 2, 2026. Written in plain English on purpose; every section still means what it says.

1 · Who we are, and what agreeing means

Semble is a service for coordinating a wedding party's outfits, details, and day-of schedule, available at sembleweddings.com and through any Semble mobile application. It is operated by Semble Weddings LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("Semble," "we," "us"). By creating an account, making a purchase, or using the service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Semble.

2 · Who may use Semble

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or make a purchase. Wedding party members do not create accounts; if you add a member who is under 18, you confirm you have the consent of their parent or guardian to enter their information.

3 · Your account

Keep your password and recovery code to yourself; you are responsible for activity under your account. Each wedding party member's page is protected by an unguessable private link. Share each link only with its person: the link is the lock. You can replace any member's link at any time, which disables the old one.

4 · The price

Opening a wedding costs $49, once, on sembleweddings.com, plus any applicable sales tax, or $58.99, once, as an in-app purchase in the Semble iPhone or Android app. No subscription, no renewal. Website payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. on Stripe's own secure pages; in-app purchases are processed by Apple or by Google Play, under their own terms. Either way, your card details never touch Semble's servers. Wedding party members never pay anything.

One purchase opens one wedding. Each purchase covers a single wedding for a single couple. An account can't be transferred, sold, or reused to plan another wedding. Once your wedding party is added, the couple's names are set, and the wedding date can move up to six months if plans change; for a bigger change, or to correct a typo, write to us. One week after the wedding date, your account becomes a keepsake: everything stays available to look back on, but no new changes can be made. You can still delete your account at any time.

5 · All sales are final

The full service unlocks the moment your payment succeeds and there is nothing more to deliver, so purchases made on sembleweddings.com are not refundable. This is stated before the payment button as well. Purchases made in the iPhone app are sold and refunded by Apple: any refund request for one goes to Apple (at reportaproblem.apple.com) and is decided under Apple's policies, not ours. Purchases made in the Android app are processed by Google Play, which lets you ask it for a refund within a short time of buying and decides those requests under its own policies; after that, the rule above applies. If you are unsure whether Semble fits your wedding, write to us first and we will answer honestly. Nothing in this section limits any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer-protection law of the place you live.

6 · Your content stays yours

Everything you and your wedding party put into Semble (names, notes, photos, schedules, links) remains yours. You grant us only the limited license needed to host, store, back up, and display that content to you and to the people you share it with, for the purpose of running the service. This license ends when your content is deleted. You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload.

7 · Acceptable use

  • Use Semble only to coordinate real events, and only lawfully.
  • Do not upload content that is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or harmful.
  • Do not attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, guess private links, or access weddings that are not yours.
  • Do not resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
  • Do not share, transfer, or reuse an account to plan a wedding other than the one it was purchased for.

We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. Photos and notes in Semble are visible only within the wedding they belong to, and the couple can remove anyone from their wedding party, or replace that person's private link, at any time.

To report a concern about anything you see in Semble, write to support@sembleweddings.com. We review every report within one business day and remove content that breaks these rules.

Copyright complaints. If you believe something in Semble uses your copyrighted work without permission, send a notice to our designated agent under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). Include: your signature (typed is fine); a description of the work you say is infringed; where in Semble the material is, in enough detail for us to find it; your address, phone number and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by you, your agent, or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable the material and tell the person who uploaded it. If you believe your material was removed by mistake, you can send us a counter-notice with the details the law requires (17 U.S.C. § 512(g)); we will pass it to the person who complained and may restore the material unless they tell us they have gone to court. We close the accounts of people who repeatedly infringe others' copyrights.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. If we close your account for a breach, no refund is due; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give paid, active weddings reasonable notice.

8 · Deleting your account

You can delete your account and wedding at any time from the bottom of the Settings page in the app, or by writing to us at hello@sembleweddings.com from your account's email address; we act on such requests promptly. Deletion removes your wedding's content from the live service, and it leaves subsequent backups as described in the Privacy Policy.

9 · The AI drafting feature

The schedule-drafting feature sends the documents and pages you choose, with the wedding details the draft needs, to our AI provider, Anthropic, to produce a draft you review. We ask your permission before the first draft, and you can turn it off at any time on the Schedule page. Drafts are suggestions; you decide every line before anything is shared with your wedding party. Do not submit documents you lack the right to share.

10 · Service, as honestly described

Semble is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

In plain words: we work hard to keep Semble up, correct, and backed up nightly, but no website can promise perfection. Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable.

11 · Limits of our liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Semble's total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for your wedding, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill.

Some places do not allow certain limitations; where the law gives you rights that cannot be limited, those rights are unaffected.

12 · Using Semble through the Apple App Store

If you use a Semble app obtained from Apple's App Store, the following also applies:

  • The deal is with us, not Apple. These Terms are between you and Semble only. Apple, Inc. is not a party to them and does not own, and is not responsible for, the app or its content.
  • License. Your license to the app is non-transferable and limited to use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules (and as available to other accounts via Family Sharing or volume purchasing).
  • Support. Semble, not Apple, is responsible for the app and for any maintenance and support. Apple has no obligation to provide any support for it.
  • Warranty. If the app fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the app's purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Claims. Semble, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or similar claims.
  • Intellectual property. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, Semble, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim.
  • Legal compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Third parties. You must comply with any third-party terms that apply when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

13 · Disputes and governing law

Before any formal dispute, please write to us first. Nearly everything can be sorted with an email.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, where Semble Weddings LLC is organized, and by the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any case that can't be resolved informally will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming, except that either of us may bring a claim in small claims court where you live, if it qualifies. Nothing in this section takes away any consumer protection that the law where you live gives you and that can't be waived.

14 · Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with them and we will make the change visible; continuing to use Semble after that means the new version applies. We will never quietly make them worse for you mid-wedding.

15 · The housekeeping clauses

If part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Semble about the service. Our not enforcing a provision today is not a waiver of it tomorrow.
